President Muhammadu Buhari may have ordered the sale of nine presidential aircraft to save cost, a THISDAY report says. The need to reduce maintenance cost aircraft in the presidential fleet, which gulps a whopping N12 billion annually, necessitated the order. The newspaper adds that of all the aircraft in the presidential fleet, eight are directly for the president’s use. The planes are Boeing 737, the two Gulfstream 550 jets, the Gulfstream V jet, two Falcon 7X planes, the Hawker Siddeley aircraft and one AugustaWestland chopper.
