Babagana Monguno, the National Security Adviser (NSA), has said President Muhammadu Buhari is planning an overhaul of Nigeria’s security architecture.

He said this after the meeting of the National Security Council chaired by Buharion Tuesday.
Monguno told State House Correspondents that the President again told the service chiefs that their best is not enough.
He said Buhari noted that Nigerians have lost confidence in the security sector and he is determined to restore that confidence.
The country has been riddled with bandit attacks in the North West with attacks claiming dozens of lives in the last two weeks. Also, insurgency in the North East has been on the rise with the latest attack being on the convoy of Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State.
The governor had said that the fight against insurgency is being sabotaged, urging the President to address the issue.
