Mamman Daura, a nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, has been flown to the United Kingdom for urgent medical treatment, a report has revealed.
The 79-year-old Daura was flown in a private jet to the UK on Wednesday for symptoms consistent with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), according to Sahara Reporters.
“Daura, 79, was said to have been flown in a private jet to the UK on Wednesday after exhibiting respiratory difficulties with symptoms similar to coronavirus since last Friday,” the report read.
Daura is known to be one of the closet confidantes to President Buhari.
His trip abroad comes at a time when the nation’s air space is still closed to international flights, being one of the measures implemented by the Federal Government to curb the spread of COVID-19.
