Tukur Buratai, Chief of Army Staff, on Monday was missing as other security chiefs met with the House of Representatives over the rising insecurity in the country.
Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker, had threatened to report them to President Muhammadu Buhari after the shunned the meeting last Friday.
The meeting is taking place at the National Assembly Complex.
Present at the meeting on Monday, are Sadique Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff; Ibok-Ete Ibas, Chief of Naval Staff, among other security chiefs.
But the Mohammed Idris, the Inspector-General of Police, is not present at the meeting which is being held behind closed doors. This could be as a result of his trip with Abubakar Malami, the Attorney-General of the Federation, to the United Kingdom over the $9.6 billion awarded to Process and Industrial Developments Limited against the country.
Gbajabiamila said the meeting was convened to enable the leadership of the lower legislative chamber to seek ways to improve the country’s security.
