Buruji Kashamu, the late former senator, has been buried in Ogun State, a day after died from complications of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Kashamu was interred at his Ijebu-Igbo home in Ogun State at about 12:55 pm on Sunday.

Before the internment, Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State, was among the throngs of mourners who visited the home of the late politician, who represented Ogun East Senatorial District between 2015 and 2019.

Kashamu died on Saturday, due to COVID-19-related complications, aged 62.

He died at First Cardiology Consultants Hospital in Lagos State.
