A businesswoman, Elizabeth Ojeaboro has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly obtaining the sum of N400,000 fraudulently from one Madu Ebere Jenifer.
The defendant was said to have committed the crime at Jasphiny Travels And Tours limited, Oshopey plaza Allen Avenue Ikeja lagos on 21st of April 2018. Businesswoman Remanded For Defrauding Traveler Of N400,000
Elizabeth, 38, was said to have agreed to help secure a Cyprus visa for the complainant, and was given the sum of N400,00 thousand for the said visa.
Peter Nwangwu, the police prosecutor, told the court that the offence contradicts and was punishable under section 314b of the criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge of stealing leveled against him.
The presiding magistrate, Aje Afure granted her bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned till November 19, 2018.
