The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, sparked reactions after he assigned members of his presidential campaign council including Kaduna state governor Nasir El-Rufai to respond to questions thrown at him at his Monday visit to Chatham House.
Tinubu who had continued to avoid debates with other presidential contenders had sparked negative reactions after it was revealed that he will be speaking at Chatham House in the United Kingdom.
Many had predicted that the presidential candidate would fumble while speaking on the international stage.
However, in an effort to salvage the situation, the presidential candidate of the ruling party tasked members of the party’s presidential campaign committee with responding to inquiries from journalists from international media as well as Nigerians living abroad.
Ben Ayade, the governor of Cross Rivers State, and Nasir El-Rufai were chosen by Tinubu to address some of the issues brought up during his interaction with Nigerians living abroad.
Recall that the former governor of Lagos had been the subject of debate due to his recurrent gaffes at public gatherings.
Many Nigerians have advised the presidential candidate to forego his presidential aspiration and concentrate on his health, despite the fact that his campaign team has continued to defend his errors.
Obidients come and see ooooo! Chatham house asked Tinubu a question and he directed it to Nasir El-Rufai and Ayade
This is so embarrassing 😳 how can you disgrace Nigerians in this manner?
