English club, Chelsea, are prepared to report Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich to FIFA, over their approach on their young sensation, Callum Hudson-Odoi, a report has said.
According to ESPN, the London club are ready to file a complaint,if they find evidence of an illegal approach to the player, or his representatives.
Bayern recently made a fourth bid worth £35 million for Hudson-Odoi and, are waiting for a response from Chelsea. The 18-year-old has reportedly said he does not intend to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are said to have been angered by the way the German Champions are publicly pursuing the pacy youngster, with sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic, saying on Wednesday that the German giants “absolutely want to sign” Hudson-Odoi this month.
Such comments are against competition rules for Premier League clubs, but Salihamidzic’s words alone are not enough to fall short on FIFA’s regulations.
The report added that Chelsea believe Bayern are coordinating their efforts with Hudson-Odoi’s representatives, so as to get him out of the club, but allegations of “tapping up” are difficult to prove.
Chelsea are desperate to keep Hudson-Odoi and, Maurizio Sarri’s decision to start him against Tottenham in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday was a prove of that.
However, defender, Antonio Rudiger, revealed after the game that the target has asked him about his experiences in German football.
Hudson-Odoi’s contract with Chelsea expires in June 2020 and, the club could realize that his value could depreciate if they keep him at the club against his will.
