Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has ruled out his team’s chances of making the top four this season. The Portuguese coach, who won the title last season, expressed shock at the attitude of his players. The former Madrid boss said the players show outstanding performances in training but fail to show same in their matches. He, however, ruled out any transfer activity in the January window saying the team will stick together and keep up the fight. He also rued the injury picked up by Belgian player, Eden Hazard, he said the player had been willing to play on but had to pull out due to the injury.
The team was beaten by Leicester City in their Monday night encounter with Jamie Vardy and Riyhad Mahrez giving the hosts the win with Loic Remy bagging a consolatory goal for the blues. The loss put Chelsea at 14th position and one point above drop zone. Leicester retain their top spot and are two points ahead of second-placed Arsenal.
