Reports in Italy say recently sacked Fulham boss, Claudio Ranieri, is set to start his second stint in charge of AS Roma. The club on Thursday, sacked coach Eusebio Di Francesco less than 24 hours after their Champions League last 16 exit to Porto.
ANSA reports that the Italian is expected to arrive in Rome on Friday from London.
The exit from the European elite club competition came on the trail of last weekend’s 3-0 loss to Lazio in the derby.
Ranieri, 67, was dismissed by the relegation-threatened London side last week, after recording just three wins in 17 matches since taking over last November.
The much-travelled coach was in charge of Roma between 2009 and 2011.
