Cleaners on Tuesday, toiled to keep rain water from flowing into the red chamber of the National Assembly.
The roof of the complex was said to be leaking.
The cleaners were seen in a video circulated on social media scooping water at the complex with parkers and buckets.
It was reported that senators gained access to their chamber through an area close to that of the house of representatives.
President Muhammadu Buhari had in 2019, approved N37 billion for the renovation of the complex building.
The development generated a national outcry.
However, Buhari slashed the budget to N27.7 billion in June 2020.
