Cold Stone Creamery Nigeria has introduced a new ice cream flavor called ‘baby cake’.
The new flavour, according to Amalia Sebakunzi, Managing Director, Cold Stone Creamery, was inspired by a movie, Lara and The Beat.
The baby cake flavor is a fine mixture of sweet cream, Coconut and Strawberry.
“The blend is fully inspired by the movie and Lara calling everybody baby cake,” she said at a press conference held at the Agindingbi outlet of the store on Tuesday.
Sebakunzi says the Baby cake flavor is expected to be on sale for a month and few weeks in all Cold Stone outlets, but could be extended depending on customer’s demand.
“Cold Stone creamery is all about creating a delightful experience for our customers, and we have also dedicated ‘Squad Meal Pizza’ which consist of one medium pizza, chicken wings and melted choco pockets to the movie, the name was inspired by the theme of friendship and family.
‘’Our stores are entertainment centres, which is exactly what the movie guarantees to deliver, an entertaining cinematic experience from start to finish and we are very excited about the progress of this partnership
since last year and we know that this new flavour will be an instant favourite on our menu,” Sebakunzi added.
Also at the conference, Biola Alabi, Chief Executive Officer, BAM Media and Executive Producer of Lara and the Beat said the collaboration between her production company, BAM and Cold Stone signals the beginning of such partnerships between Nollywood and other organisations.
“This partnership is a unique one,” she said.
“This kind of partnership is done all over the world. Cold Stone Creamery has distinguished itself by creating unique and entertaining experiences for their customers, as soon as you walk into any of their stores they put on a show for you.
‘’This is exactly what the movie Lara and the beat does, we give you a show from the minute you step into the cinema.”

The sisters are forced out of their privileged bubble and must learn to build their own future and salvage their family’s past.
The movie also tells a love story between Lara and Sal (a.ka The Beat), who helps find her voice and jumpstart her musical journey.
