Some Nigerians living in Wuhan, China, the world epicentre of the deadly Coronavirus, also known as Covid-19, have appealed to Allen Onyema, CEO of Air Peace, to help airlift them back home from the country.
Pictures surfaced on social media, with the Nigerians displaying same message on paper, which reads: “Bring us home” #Nigerians trapped in Wuhan”.
A number of countries around the world have evacuated their citizens from China, due to the outbreak of the virus.
However, the Nigerian government has maintained that no Nigerian in the Asian country has contracted the virus, consequently, there is no reason to panic.
The federal government has rather set up centres to test any suspected cases in the country.
The virus has killed thousands of Chinese patients and tens of thousands already infected.
The Nigerians are said to be appealling to Onyema to help them, in the manner he voluntarily evacuated Nigerians from South Africa, at the peak of a crisis in 2019.
“Dear AIR PEACE,
“Please help us bring back Nigerians trapped in China. We have an irresponsible government that does not care about its citizens. Don’t think about the attempt to bring your company down. Just help as you did in South Africa.”
