A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos failed to hear a forgery charge preferred against five people, including businessman Innocent Chukwuma, owner of Innoson Motors Nigeria Limited. The others are Charles Chukwu, Maximian Chukwura, Mitsui Osk Lines, and Annajekwu Sunny. Owing to the absence of trial judge Saliu Saidu, the case was postponed till June 23.

Chukwuma and others are facing a four count-charge of forging government documents, with which they took N2.4 billion loan from a bank. The case being prosecuted by the federal government alleged the offence was committed between January, 2010 and April, 2011 at Apapa Wharf.
