Aje Afunwa, the Chief Magistrate of the Ikeja Magistrate Court on Monday ordered the remand of one Okorie Christian Kelechi, 39, who parades himself as a medical doctor.
The accused was alleged to have injected one Emeka Ezeji severally with unknown drugs and negatively administered drugs which caused him several internal decay and blockage to his urinary system. He was also said to have obtained the sum of N1.8 million.
Peter Nwangwu, the prosecutor, told the court that the accused committed the offences between June 2011 to November 2017 in Lagos.
The offence contravened section 243,382,314(3) of the criminal law of lagos Nigeria 2015
Kelechi pleaded not guilty to the three-count charges against him.
The chief magistrate granted him bail in the sum of N1 million, with two sureties in like sum, and verification of tax identification.
The case was adjourned till 26 November, 2018
