Court Remands Three In Prison Over Attempted Robbery

A Lagos High Court in Ikeja has remanded three 25-year-old men, Offon Akpan, Osanbie Sunday and Akeem Karim over conspiracy to rob First Bank of Nigeria Plc on Monday.

According to the charge, the accused persons allegedly conspired to rob the bank at Adeniran Ogunsanya Street, Surulere area of Lagos. The accused were caught in possession of locally made pistol on 18 March, 2011. The accused persons pleaded not guilty.

Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye, after taking their plea adjourned the matter to November 24 and 25 for trial.
