Belgian goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, will reportedly miss Real Madrid’s UEFA Super Cup clash against former club Atletico Madrid on Wednesday because he has not been registered.
Courtois was expected to make his debut for Real Madrid following his £35 million switch to the Bernabeu from Chelsea.
According to Cadena COPE, the Champions League winners failed to register the 26-year-old with UEFA, so he will have to watch the game against his former club from the sidelines.
Courtois trained with his new team-mates at the Lillekuela Stadium on Tuesday night ahead of the game.
However, Costa Rica shot-stopper, Keylor Navas, will be in goal against Atletico Madrid
He will be in-line to make his debut in Sunday’s La Liga clash against Getafe at the Bernabeu.
