Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have allegedly teargassed Dr Omo Ekeneam, the state chapter Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), and the President of the Association of Resident Doctors of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba.

The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) made the allegation in a post on Twitter on Thursday.
According to the association, the incident, which it described as “police brutality”, occurred in Asaba, the state capital, while the police operatives were enforcing the stay-at-home order declared by the state government.

It, however, did not disclose extensive information about the incident.
