A group of Nigerian nurses in Enugu State, have protested lack of medical equipment, amid the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Two persons have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), to have the disease in the state.
A suspected case, who was admitted at the state’s only isolation centre last month, had reportedly died due to trauma she suffered because of the sorry state of the facility.
In a video shared on microblogging site, Twitter, the nurses were chanting songs, asking the state government to provide personal protective equipment, including hand sanitisers, face masks and hand gloves, to fight the diseasd in the state.
The nurses said they will no longer work, until government provides the equipment they need.
