The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has announced that its September 2020 Holy Ghost Service will hold virtually.
The church, in a memo released on Tuesday, said its Mission Authority has decided to hold the service online, in compliance with government’s COVID-19 safety protocol.
The church noted that its General Overseer, Enoch Adeboye, would not want to endanger the lives of worshippers, who will have to gather at the Redemption Camp, its headquarters in Ogun State.
The RCCG said it will remain law-abiding, regarding restrictions on holding church services.
It further announced that its 2020 Youth convention, also scheduled to hold next month, will hold online.
According to the church, the programmes will be relayed on its television network.
“The Mission Authority has decided to hold the September 2020 Holy Ghost Service virtually. The decision is in consideration of the safety of the people, for reason that the government safety restrictions are still in place.
“This also confirms that the forth coming Young Adults and Youth 2020 convention slated for Mon 28th September to Fri 2nd Oct 2020 would be held virtually.
