Spanish giants, Real Madrid, in collaboration with High Council for Sport (CSD), have opened a medical supply and distribution channel at the Santiago Bernabeu, in the fight against Coronavirus in Spain.
With the collaboration, the Bernabéu will offer a space that is equipped, to store the donations of medical supplies required in the fight against the pandemic.
According to the club on their official website, “all of the stored supplies will be passed on to the Spanish health authorities, under the authority of the Spanish government, so that the resources, so necessary in the current health emergency situation, are employed in the best and most efficient manner”.

Lagos To Discharge Six COVID-19 PatientsThe club also promise to “provide a facility for organisations and businesses, particularly those belonging to the sports sector, to leave money or material donations that they wish to make to the Ministry of Health.”
Real said mechanisms already in place, and under the constant supervision of the lead medical supplies centre in the Madrid town of Valdemoro, Spain’s ministry of health will be responsible for allocating the donations to centres and organisations, who are in greatest need.
Spain is the second most hit nation by the disease in Europe, after Italy.
The country reported 655 new deaths in one day on Thursday, bringing the death toll to 4,089.
There are over 56,000 confirmed cases of the virus in the country, and has surpasses China, where the pandemic started, in number of deaths.
