The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the reconciliation efforts between the leaders of the party and the camp of the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, are “a work in progress”.
Newsbreak.ng reports that Debo Ologunagba, the national publicity secretary of the PDP said this at a press conference on Friday.
Ologunagba explained that reconciliation is not a hundred-meter race and twenty-four hours in politics is like a lifetime.
“There are multiple channels of communication in our Constitution. So it is ongoing,” he said.
“We’re very hopeful because we have a robust internal differences resolution mechanism.
“We can’t give up on hope because this party is Peoples Democratic Party, not an individual party.
“So we don’t give commands, we don’t give instructions.
“We negotiate, we discuss, and that is ongoing.”
