Five Star music record boss, E-money, was recently entangled with the Federal Operations Unit, FOU, Zone A, of the Nigeria Customs Service, over reported non-payment of duty on 10 of his luxurious vehicles.
According to reports, the vehicles were impounded after they were said to have been cleared by officers of the Apapa Customs Command.
But following a tip-off about the value of duty paid on them, the cars were intercepted by officials of FOU.
Vanguard reported that a source at FOU confirmed the seizure, revealling that E-Money had visited the office with the hopes of taking back custody of the vehicles, but was eventually made to complete payment of duty before the vehicles could be released to him.
According to reports, E-money paid the complete N6m before the vehicles were released to him. This was confirmed by the Customs Area Controller, CAC, Garba Mohammed.
“We have released the vehicles to him. He came and paid over N6 million. I think about N6.7 million or thereabouts.”
E-Money is one of the celebrities who flaunts their wealth on Instagram. Overtime, the self acclaimed businessman has been posting series of photos of his numerous exotic cars on social media.
