Nigerian businessman and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has projected that eight trillion naira revenue annually would be realised from his investments in Lekki Free Trade Zone.
“Lagos is more than ready for business. Our refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer and gas projects will generate N8 trillion per annum for Nigeria when fully on stream,” said Dangote at the opening of the Lagos-Kano Economic and Investment Summit, held at the Jubilee Chalets in Epe, Lagos.
Dangote Group’s investment at the free exporting zone include petrol refinery. contending that he was one of those who believed that state governments should collaborate with one another for economic benefits of their states.
Dangote said he is hopeful the partnership between Lagos and Kano will immensely drive the economies of both states and ultimately impact on the nation’s economy.
The Lekki Free Zone covers an area of 16,500 hectares, divided into two peninsulas by the Lekki Lagoon.
