Mansur Dan-Ali, the Minister of Defence, has said the 110 schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram will soon be rescued. He said this in a programme on Channels TV on Saturday. He said intelligence obtained by the defence headquarters will lead to their rescue.
He, however, said he could not give any specific time frame for their rescue.
Boko Haram had on February 19 stormed the Government Girls Science and Technical College in Dapchi, Yobe state and whisked away the girls. The Abu Musab al-Barnawi-led faction is said to be behind the abduction.
