Happiness, the school’s beauty pageant winner, was reportedly kidnapped while on her way to a movie location in Ipara-Remo last Tuesday.
She was recently crowned queen of the state-owned institution on August 3, 2022.
However, the mass communication student’s body, which was purportedly dumped following her suspected murder by her kidnappers was discovered on Thursday.
In a statement released on Sunday by Kunle Somorin, his chief press secretary, Governor Abiodun referred to the murder of the student as “barbaric and cruel” and ordered the police to get to work immediately to find her killers.

“My administration will not tolerate ungodly and criminal activities that would put the state in a bad light. My administration will do everything within the law to ensure Odeh’s killers are brought to book,” Governor Abiodun said.
“I have given the police and other security agencies in the state marching order to fish out the perpetrators of the devilish act,” he added.
