Arsenal have placed a bid of £92 million on Monaco’s Thomas Lemar. The Gunners are believed to be desperate to get their man before letting Alexis Sanchez leave for Manchester City. The French player is currently on duty with the Les Bleus as they get ready to face the Netherlands in a crucial World Cup qualifier on Thursday night. Also, Alexandre Lacazette, who is with Lemar in the French squad has raised suspicion the deal could be close after tweeting that great things happen with patience along with an hour glass, a watch and a silent smiley.
Sky sources say City have bid £55 million for Sanchez with £5 million in add-ons. The Chilean is rumoured to want to stay at the Emirates Stadium after he liked a tweet which suggested he was staying beyond this summer’s window.
The Gunners have barely six hours to wrap up their activities in the market.
