Owners of demolished buildings stormed the Osun House of Assembly in Osogbo, to protest the non-payment of N2 billion compensation the state government promised them. The government demolished 350 buildings to pave way for the expansion of some road projects in the state.
The protesters, mostly aged, claimed ten people among those whose buildings were demolished have died because they were unable to get their compensation.
The Assembly speaker assured the protesters of further consultation on the matter.
