Ex-militant leader, Asari Dokubo has denounced the Igbo ethnic group of Nigeria.
Newsbreak.ng reports that Dokubo, a major figure of the Ijaw ethnic group in the Niger Delta region, stated this in a Facebook Live on his page on Thursday, expressing dissatisfaction with the conduct of people of southeast extraction.
“As una say make I no talk say I get (Igbo) blood, I don already accept, I no be Igbo again. So wetin una go do me?
“So from today, I deny any blood link with Igbo, I no be Igbo,” Dokubo said in pidgin.
“I’m even ashamed that I have Igbo blood flowing in my vein.
“I no be Igbo, don’t associate Igbo with me.
“If that will satisfy you people, alright, I am not an Igbo man, I don’t want to have anything to do with Igbo. Go with your Igbo.”
