The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has told his supporters not to mention the name of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Deputy Governorship candidate in Lagos State, Funke Akindele, in his presence.
Tinubu said this on Wednesday when he met supporters at the Lagos APC Secretariat.
According to him, it is disrespectful to mention Funke Akindele’s name in his presence.
In a video seen by Newsbreak Nigeria, Tinubu, speaking in Yoruba said, “Don’t even behave as if you remember the name. “It is a big insult, it is an abuse. A fowl wants to enter a house, it is bending down, how tall is it in the first place.”
Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly called Jandor, PDP’s governorship candidate in Lagos State along with Funke Akindele, is seeking to beat Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the polls in 2023.
