Drunk Driver Abandons Owner's Vehicle, Reports Car Stolen

A man, on Saturday July 31, 2022, reported that his boss’ vehicle had been stolen after dropping off his boss at his residence in Magodo.

According to reports by the Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS), the driver abandoned his boss’ vehicle at Allen Avenue after getting drunk on Saturday night.

The Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Commmand, SP Benjamin Hundenyin, who shared the story on Twitter said preliminary investigations reveal that the driver, after dropping off his boss at his residence in Magodo, rather than park the vehicle sneaked out with it to party around Ikeja.

The driver woke up on Sunday morning with the car key in his pocket but could not remember where he had parked the vehicle.

After all efforts proved abortive,  he told the Police he had no alternative but to lie to his boss that he was robbed and that the vehicle had been driven away.’
