Tyronne Ebuehi, a Super Eagles defender, will join Portuguese giants Benfica, reports say. Rui Vitoria, coach of the club, has identified the 22-year-old ADO Den Haag defender as a replacement for Nelson Semedo, who joined Barcelona in the summer.
He will however be loaned back to his current club for the rest of the season to avoid running foul of FIFA rules. The world governing body does not support signing players under 23-year-old on pre-contracts.
Ebuehi has made 17 appearances for ADO in the topflight this season.
