A medical doctor has advised that it is best to eat watermelon with the seeds.
The health and wellness doctor, identified simply as ‘First Doctor’ on Twitter, said watermelon seeds are rich in protein, vitamins, magnesium, zinc and potassium.
He wrote: “Eat your watermelon with the seeds, Eat your watermelon with the seeds.
“Watermelon seeds are one of the most nutrient-dense varieties of seeds. They are a rich in proteins, vitamins, magnesium, zinc and potassium. Don’t throw away the seeds!”
