The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC), Lagos State Command, has deployed 2,500 personnel to ensure security during and after the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The spokesperson of the command, Mr Oluwaseun Abolurin, disclosed this on Thursday in Lagos .

He said that the NSCDC would not permit any economic sabotage during the celebration.

The Federal Government had declared April 21 and 24 as public holidays to mark the 2023 Eid-el- Fitr celebration.

He also disclosed that the command had mapped out operational strategies, identified volatile spots and factored -in response mechanisms for unexpected developments.

Abolurin said the security strategies would ensure peaceful celebration and adequate protection of critical national assets during the period.
