Nasir El-Rufai, Kaduna State governor, is reportedly planning a visit to Muhammadu Sanusi II, the deposed emir of Kano.

According to Daily Trust, security sources revealed on Thursday, that El-Rufai could become the first government official outside Nasarawa State to visit Sanusi, since he was dethroned.
The Kaduna governor had appointed Sanusi into Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency (KADIPA), 24 hours after his dethronement on Monday.

He later named him as the Chancellor of the Kaduna State University (KASU).
Sanusi was deposed and replaced with Aminu Ado Bayero by the Kano State Executive Council, following a long running battle with governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
He was subsequently sent on exile to Awe in Nasarawa, where he will continue to live.

The former emir has, however, vowed to challenge his banishment in court.
