A video footage viewed on Saturday by the Lagos Panel of Inquiry investigating brutality by now-disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of the police, showed that the Nigerian army sent seven trucks to Lekki Toll Gate, where they shot at #EndSARS protesters.

The video was submitted to the panel by the Lekki Concession Company (LCC), which manages the toll gate.
Soldiers reportedly opened fire on the peaceful demonstrators, who had converged on the facility on October 20, 2020.
However, the Nigerian army insisted that its men only fired blank bullets into the air to disperse the crowd.
But an investigation by international cable channel, CNN, indicted the army of firing live bullets directly into the crowd of protesters, allegedly killing some and injuring others.
