Faith, wife of Living Faith Church founder, David Oyedepo, has sent a soothing prayer to families who lost their loved ones in the Lekki tollgate massacre.
On October 20, 2020, soldiers of the Nigerian army stormed the facility in Lagos State, opened fire and allegedly killed peaceful #EndSARS protesters who were waving the country’s flag and singing the national anthem.
The one year anniversary of the alleged massacre was commemorated today in Abuja with a protest, and a drive-in demonstration in Lagos .
The clergywoman, in a post on her verified Facebook account, prayed to God to comfort families whose loved ones were killed in the massacre.
She also posted a picture of the national flag with the drawing of a teary face.
“To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.’ – Isaiah 61:3,” she wrote.
“Today, as we remember all who were murdered a year ago at the Lekki tollgate, oh God, comfort their families in Your loving arms.
