Vincent Enyeama has returned to the Super Eagles camp in Brussels, Belgium on Saturday to meet with the President of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) Amaju Pinnick and Vice-Presidents, Seyi Akinwunmi and Shehu Dikko. The Lille star had left the camp on Thursday to return to his base in France following a major row with head coach of the side, Sunday Oliseh. He had also announced his retirement from international football.
The NFF confirmed the meeting with Enyeama on Saurday via their Twitter handle, but no further details were provided.
“Enyeama was in Belgium on Saturday for a meeting with the NFF President @PinnickAmaju and VPs Akinwunmi and @ShehuDikko,” the tweet read.
It is believed the meeting was to resolve the battle of egos between Enyeama and the coach. The meeting is also believed to be in a bid to convince the goalkeeper to reverse his decision to quit international duties. There was no mention of Oliseh being part of the meeting.
Enyeama, 33, has won 101 caps for Nigeria since hos debut in 2002.
