English Premier League side, Everton, have reportedly turned down a £22.5 million offer by Turkish club, Galatasaray, to permanently sign Super Eagles’ forward, Henry Onyekuru.
Onyekuru has been impressive at Galatasaray which has prompted the club to approach the Toffees for a permanent deal for the pacey forward.
According to a report, Everton turned down the offer, making it clear that they have a long-term plan for the player.
Onyekuru opened his goals account for Galatasaray over the weekend, scoring the only goal in the 1-0 win over Goztepe.
The 21-year-old is expected to be among the players to be invited by Gernot Rohr to camp, for September’s AFCON 2019 qualifying fixture against Seychelles.
The nff.com reports that officials of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, revealed that Rohr will release a list of invited players on Friday.
