Chimaroke Nnamani, a former governor of Enugu state, has attacked Rinu Oduala, a co-organizer of the #EndSARS protest, for her remarks regarding the extravagant spending of Nigeria’s political elites.
The former governor called Oduala a thief and a copycat in response to a tweet in which the #EndSARS influencer questioned the alleged amount spent by Nigerian politicians on rent.
Chimaroke mocked Ms Oduala saying that protesting had turned into a lucrative venture for the activist.
Ms Oduala had in a tweet implied that politicians were paying 28 million naira to service their house rent, adding that the extravagant lifestyle was the reason politicians like Chimaroke had remained in politics for over 20 years.
Responding to Ms Oduala’s tweet, the former governor wrote:
“Mammoth Rienu Odu Olaa. One eye at my Profile. You thief “Community Organizer” No credit given. Profile thief and copycat. Who pays 28m rent? Guess protest good business for you. Giving you a head start as a bourgeoisie. Safe journey back to Naija.”
“One Space meeting. You overhaul your profile. Fighting for donation and networking? Bad belle? What do you know about Community Organizing? Challenged influencer and Beauty spec. MODEL wannabe!” he added.
