Former Manchester United captain, Nemanja Vidic has retired from football. The Serbian defender took the decision after he was recently released by Italian giants, Inter Milan. The no-nonsense 34-year-old defender played for Red Star Belgrade and Spartak Moscow before joining United in 2006. He enjoyed the best spell of his career in England winning five Premier League titles and a Champions League medal in 2008. Injuries, however, halted that progress as he was forced to the sidelines on various occasions due to niggling injuries.
He moved to Inter Milan in 2014 but failed to impress leading to his release by the coach, Roberto Mancini. In his farewell speech, he said, “The time has come for me to hang up my boots.
“The injuries i have had in the last few years have taken their toll.
