Ramatu Luka, an official of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has been arrested for stealing $600 belonging to a pilgrim at the Yola airport while negotiating a bribe.
Luka was said to have found pepper in the bag of Hafsat Mohammed, the pilgrim, during screening. She reportedly threatened to seize the pepper if she was not given bribe. They agreed to a 10 Saudi Riyal bribe.

However, Mohammed noticed her money was missing and immediately raised an alarm. The money was found carefully tucked away in Luka’s hair and covered with her barrette cap.
Suleiman Yahaya, spokesman of the Adamawa Police Command, said the case had been transferred to the CID for investigation after which she would be charged to court.
