The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC)  has sealed Med Contour, a cosmetic surgery clinic in Lagos.

The action, according to the commission, was taken to allow for proper investigation into a botched surgery alleged by a patient.

The patient, with the username @omohtee12, had accused the clinic of a shabby job in operating on her. Although she did not reveal the part of the body that was operated on, she said she had spent huge sums of money to nurse herself to health.

The commission said it is investigating issues of authorisation of the business, operators and associates to carry out the surgery to an outcome promised to its customers as implied under the Federal Competition and Customer Protection Act (FCCPA).
