African champions, Super Falcons of Nigeria, will take part in the 2019 Cyprus Women’s Cup, as part of preparations for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup holding in France.
The invitational tournament, which will commence from February 25 to March 7, will see the Falcons make their debut in the competition and compete alongside 11 other countries in Cyprus.
Nigeria is drawn in Group C with Austria, Belgium and Slovakia, who all participated in this year’s edition of the Women’s Cyprus Cup.
Group A has Czech Republic, Finland, Korea DPR, South Africa (the Banyana Banyana will be making their seventh appearance) and Group B consist of Hungary, Italy, Mexico and another debutant, Thailand.
The 2018 Cyprus Women’s Cup was won by Spain.
