There is more to the defection of former chieftain of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) to the ruling party, the All progressive Congress (APC).
While the return of Fani-Kayode to the APC was greeted with condemnation by Nigerians and more importantly by some members of APC, it was not so with some women around his Abuja home who saw the defection as a kind of elevation for their FFK who they described as their ‘benefactor’
The APC’s ‘new bride’, who said that he has been ‘building bridges’ across the federation to unite people, posted a video on his Instagram page to show that he is still being accepted by some people.
Microsecondnews reports that the former Aviation Minister, Fani-Kayode, showed the moment he returned to his Abuja home and was received by dancing women chanting his praise.
The women had apparently arrived inside his compound before he drove in. The women erupted in dance and songs the moment the politician drove into the compound on September 20 after his defection from PDP to APC.
“Our helper o, our helper, our helper o, our helper, there is something that makes us come into your presence, our helper!, the women sang and clapped as the former minister waved to them behind a bouncer shielding them from getting too close.
Sharing the video, Fani-Kayode wrote:
”Home sweet home! Faithful God! Bless His name!”
