Authorities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, have shut two of the four COVID-19 isolation centres, due to lack of patients.
The isolation centres located in Karu and Asokoro General Hospitals, have now been closed, following reduction in the number of infected patients in the FCT.
There has been a significant reduction in the number of daily infections across states in Nigeria, and Abuja.

Nigeria has recorded over 58,000 cases of the disease, and over 1,100 COVID-19-related deaths.

About 49,000 of the infected persons have fully recovered after receiving treatment.
