Bashir Ahmed, a media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that the government has finalized plans to increase the salaries of civil servants.

Making this disclosure in a tweet on Wednesday, Ahmed detailed that plans were concluded after the minister of Labour Chris Ngige met with president Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday.

“After a meeting with President  @MBuhari, today, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, announced that the Federal Government has concluded plans to increase the salaries of civil servants,” Ahmed said.

Economic experts have applauded the president Buhari-led government saying that the increase will further cushion the effect of the harsh economic condition occasioned by the continually rising inflation.
