The Nigeria Police Force have paraded 54-year-old fiancé of late Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officer, whom he killed and buried in a shallow grave in Benue State.

It was gathered that Josephine Cynthia Inalegwu Onche, who was serving at an NSCDC post in Otukpo, was declared missing a few days to her wedding to the suspect, Christopher, in December 2019.
Christopher was paraded on Wednesday in Abuja, alongside 35 other suspects arrested for armed robbery, kidnapping, rape, unlawful possession of prohibited firearms, cattle rustling, receiving of stolen items and car theft.

Briefing journalists, Frank Mba, Force Public Relations Officer, (FPRO), said late Onche,45, was in a relationship with Christopher, who had professed love and promised to marry her.
“In the course of the relationship, several financial transactions took place and it is believed that Onche had handed over a large chunk of money to her lover, ” Mba stated.
“Between Dec. 19 and 20, 2019, Onche had visited her lover, who lured her to the house of a native doctor in Benue, where she was murdered. Her body was taken to a forest where she was buried in a shallow grave.”

The force PRO added that the suspect had promised to pay a native doctor with whom he killed the late officer N5 million out of the N14 million he collected from Onche.
Mba further said the decomposed body of the officer has been exhumed by the police for further investigation.
