The Super Falcons of Nigeria will take on the Republic of Ireland in their final group stage match of the FIFA Women’s World Cup on Monday. The match will be broadcast live on GOtv.

The Falcons head into the match on the heels of a huge 3-2 victory against co-host Australia on Thursday at the Brisbane Stadium. The Falcons will qualify for the Round of 16 if they avoid defeat against the Republic of Ireland. The match will be live on SuperSelect 1 (ch. 63) at 11 a.m.

Republic of Ireland have been knocked out of the tournament after failing to secure a point in two outings. Their second game against Canada ended in a 2-1 defeat, following their 1-0 opening match loss against Australia.

Nigeria lead Group B with four points, followed by Canada also on four points, Australia are third with three points, while Republic of Ireland sits at the bottom with zero point.

Super Falcons coach, Randy Waldrum will be without the suspended Deborah Abiodun for the match, but he will be banking on the firepower of Barcelona’s forward Asisat Oshoala and in-form goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie to give Nigeria edge over the Republic of Ireland.
