The Super Falcons of Nigeria qualified for the knockout stage of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup after playing a goalless draw with Ireland.
Falcons faced an already knocked-out Ireland ladies who only played for pride but the Nigerian ladies failed to inflict any damage at the Suncorp Stadium, ensuring they came second behind co-host, Australia.
The Australian ladies beat their Canadian counterparts 4-0 to top Group B and book a place in the next round.
Australia finished with 6 points, followed by Nigeria with 5 points.
